Brampton Navratri 2026: Garba & Dandiya Guide

Last reviewed: October 11, 2026. Brampton has several Gujarati and South Asian community celebrations each festival season. This guide lists the current event information that could be verified and clearly marks dates that have already passed, so readers do not travel to an old event listing.

Brampton Navratri 2026: verified local event status

The City of Brampton’s free Community Garba took place on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 7–10 p.m. at Brampton Sports Park, Kabaddi Field, 7575 Kennedy Road South, Brampton, Ontario. The city’s release lists performances by Trusha Rami, Darshan Budheliya and local performers. This event has passed. See the City of Brampton’s official release for the published details.

The Navrang festival also listed a Brampton event with Nick Pandya on October 10, 2026. That date has passed as of October 11. Check the official Navrang website for any later announcements. I could not verify another upcoming public Brampton Garba night from the current listings checked, so this guide does not invent one.

Festival dates in October

Canada-specific calendars list Sharad Navratri beginning October 11, 2026, and Vijayadashami/Dussehra on Tuesday, October 20. The religious date is not the same as a ticketed Garba event date. For a puja muhurat, use the Brampton-specific Vijayadashami calendar and confirm local observance with your mandir.

How to find a current Brampton event

  1. Check the City of Brampton events page and community announcements.
  2. Review the official websites of local temples, Gujarati associations and cultural groups.
  3. Use ticket platforms for discovery, then follow the link to the organizer’s official event page.
  4. Confirm the exact date, venue address, start time, ticket price, age limits, refund rules and accessibility details.
  5. Recheck the listing before leaving; event schedules and venue arrangements can change.

Garba and Dandiya night tips

  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for circular dancing.
  • Ask whether dandiya sticks are permitted or supplied by the organizer.
  • Check transit and parking options, especially for late-ending events.
  • For children, confirm supervision rules, child ticket requirements and a meeting point in case your group gets separated.
  • Carry only permitted bags and follow venue guidance on water bottles, food and photography.

How to plan a safe, enjoyable Brampton Garba night

Choose a public event with a clear organizer and current venue details. For ticketed shows, use the official event link and read the entry, refund and cancellation rules. Check whether children require separate tickets and whether the event provides seating, family areas or accessible routes. If you are new to Garba, choose comfortable footwear, allow room for other dancers and follow the circle’s direction. For Dandiya, check the venue’s stick policy before bringing your own.

Transport, parking and venue checks

Large community events can create traffic near the venue. Check the venue’s parking information, local road restrictions and transit options before leaving, and plan your return trip if the event ends late. Keep your ticket confirmation available and note the organizer’s contact details. If event information is missing or conflicting, contact the organizer rather than relying on an old listing or a third-party social post.

The City of Brampton’s Community Garba and the Navrang Brampton date listed above have already passed. This guide does not present them as upcoming events. For new dates, check the City of Brampton and local organizer pages; once an event is announced, verify the date, address, start time, admission and accessibility details before sharing the listing with others.
