Updated 12 October 2026. Navratri is being observed across the UAE from 11 October, with the nine Navratri days continuing through 19 October and Vijayadashami / Dussehra on 20 October in the Dubai Panchang calendar. Celebrations can include Garba, Dandiya Raas, aarti, temple puja and private community programmes. This guide includes a current public listing and explains how to check announcements in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah without relying on last year’s dates.

Abu Dhabi: check the temple’s official schedule
BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi is an important place of worship for the Hindu community. The official site lists the campus location at Plot P6, Al Taf Road (E16), Abu Mureikhah, Abu Dhabi, and states that visit registration is required. The published page provides campus and darshan hours, but the source reviewed did not show a specific Navratri 2026 public festival programme. Check the latest temple announcements and required booking information before planning a Navratri visit.

Sharjah and the Northern Emirates
The Sharjah Drik Panchang calendar lists Navratri beginning on 11 October 2026. I could not verify a city-wide 2026 Garba programme in Sharjah from an official public event calendar during this update. For local community events, check the organiser’s current page, temple announcements and ticket provider rather than assuming an event from a previous year has returned.

What a community Navratri event may include
Depending on the organiser, celebrations may involve devotional singing, aarti, Garba circles, Dandiya Raas, traditional clothing, food stalls or children’s activities. These are common possibilities rather than a guaranteed list for every venue. Read the current event description and ask about age rules, admission, seating, refreshments, accessibility, photography and permitted dance sticks.
How to find the right event in the UAE
- Start with the official event calendar or the named organiser’s own website.
- Verify the date, year, location, start time and ticket link.
- Check the entry policy and whether the venue is suitable for children or elderly visitors.
- For temple programmes, follow the temple’s rules and current darshan schedule; a temple’s normal opening hours are not a promise of a special Navratri ceremony.
- Check transport, parking and the current weather before leaving home.
